A son of Charles H. and Doris (Felton) Morgret.
He was the youngest of six sons. On Oct. 19, 1955, in Winchester, Va., he married Doris J. (Price) Morgret who passed away on Jan. 1, 1997.
Surviving are their children, Barry Morgret; Celia Bequeath; and Lori Mellott; six grandchildren; and a brother, Rex Morgret.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Gail, John and William.
He was a graduate of Everett High School, Class of 1949, and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War from 1952 to 1955 with the Fleet Air Service Squadron 121, receiving the National Defense Service Medal.
He worked as a truck driver for Morral Brothers, Inc., Kramer Brothers Freight Lines and TransCon. In 1969 he was elected to serve as District Magistrate for District No. 57-3-04, a position he held for 26 years until retiring in 1996.
He was a member of the Everett American Legion Post 8, a lifetime member of the Breezewood Volunteer Fire Company and a charter member of the Breezewood VFW Post 8333. He was also a member of the Everett Lodge 524, F&AM, the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Harrisburg Consistory, the Jaffa Shrine of Altoona, and the Fraternal Order of Police Frederick Sutton Memorial Lodge 57.
Burial was made in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Breezewood, with full military honors conducted by the Everett Honor Guard.
