Rex Duane Morgret, 87 of Victoria Avenue, Everett, PA; passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
He was born on November 18, 1928 in Breezewood, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Charles Hayes and Doris Manon (Felton) Morgret.
On December 31, 1954 in Winchester, Virginia; he married M. Marcella (Grimes) Morgret.
Along with his wife of sixty-one years he is survived by children Pamela Means, Bedford, PA; Karen married to C. Ray Replogle, Everett, PA; Duane Morgret married to Beth (Zimmerman), New Enterprise, PA; Carla married to Rock Manges, New Enterprise, PA and Tina married to Kenneth Jesk, Everett, PA; grandchildren and their children: Melissa Zell married to Kevan and children Wesley, Paden, Garrett and Laura; Scott Means married to Lynnett (Canchola) and children Elizabeth, Alexandra, Samantha and Lea; Rebecca Clark married to Brandon and children Elias, Olivia, Isabella and Isaac; Mindy Cottle married to Kevin and son Hunter; Jason Replogle;Macy Replogle; Sara Eshelman married to John and children Jacob and Sadie; Jesse Gutshall married to Cody and children Ava and Liam; Nathaniel Manges married to Erica (Capo) and children Keira and Owen; Staci Brockus married to Casey and children Hadassah, Adaya and Gabriel; Blake Jesk and Dylan Jesk.
He was preceded in death by son-in-law: Terry Means and siblings: Gail, Marion "Slim", C. Maxwell, John and W. Lynn Morgret.
He was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1946.
Rex was a member of the Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren.
He served in the United States Army from 1947-1951 in the 24th infantry division, serving in Japan and Korea.
Mr. Morgret enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and shooting pool.
He was a member of the Breezewood V.F.W. Post 8333.
Friends and Family will be received on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren, 1411 Lower Snake Spring Road, Everett, PA 15537 from 6-8 P.M. and on Wednesday at the church from 1:30 P.M. until the hour of service at the church.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 2:30 P.M. at the Snake Spring Valley Church of the Brethren with Pastor David Grimes officiating.
Burial will be held in Ritchey Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Everett Area Honor Guard.
