John, b. 22 Mar 1784, Hightstown, Middlesex Co., NJ. Married Jane Mount about 1808 (?), probably Middlesex Co., NJ. Removed to Warren County, OH, about 1847.

Rebecca, b. 26 Apr 1785, Hightstown, Middlesex Co., NJ. Married Thomas Mount, 17 Dec 1801, probably Middlesex Co., NJ. He was a son of Hezekiah Mount. They removed to Chautauqua Co., NY, and were said to have had 14 children of whom 12 grew to maturity.

Ezekiel, b. 19 Apr 1787, Hightstown, Middlesex Co., NJ. Died there 16 June 1787. Buried in the Baptist Cemetery, Hightstown, NJ.

Hannah, b. 3 Mar 1791, Hightstown, Middlesex Co., NJ. Married Samuel Mount about 1814 (?), probably Middlesex Co., NJ. Died 3 July 1842, Hightstown, NJ.

Ezekiel, b. 16 Mar 1793, Hightstown, Middlesex Co., NJ. Died there 1 June 1799. Buried in the Baptist Cemetery, Hightstown, NJ.

Ann, b. 9 Aug 1795, Hightstown, Middlesex Co., NJ. ìAnn or Nancy?î Daughter Nancy was named in the will of her father. No mention of Ann. I am presuming they are one and the same. Never married according to her nephew Vincent Van Nest in 1895. Nothing further known.

Abijah J, b. 5 Aug 1797, Hightstown, Middlesex Co., NJ. Married Susan Hunt about 1820 (?), probably Middlesex Co., NJ. Died 11 May 1866, Hightstown, NJ.

Harriet, b. 3 Dec 1799, Hightstown, Middlesex Co., NJ. Married (1) Vincent Dye in 1818, probably Middlesex Co., NJ; (2) Abraham Van Nest, 17 Sep 1833, probably Middlesex Co., NJ.

BIOGRAPHICAL
Under the terms of his father's will, proved 1 Apr 1783, he was to receive ìpart of my plantation, bounded by Matthias Mount, John Ely, Timothy Hulit and the Asanpink creek.î He was also directed to give his mother Hannah her choice of rooms in the house, use of kitchen, cellar, etc. Also named as co-executor of his father's will along with his brother Joseph and brother-in-law Joshua Ely.
John Chamberlin was a veteran of Revolutionary war and applied for a pension at East Windsor, 11 Sep 1832. Pensioned at the New Jersey Agency @ $23.33 per annum, from March 4, 1831, for 7 months service as Private in Capt. Comb's company, Col. Hyer's regiment. His record as given in the pension application contains the following:
John Chamberlin, of New Jersey. Enlisted 1776, Private, Captain John Lyle's company called the ìFlying Campî ó marched to New Brunswick, Woodbury, Amboy, Elizabethtown & Newark. Volunteered under Capt. Thomas Nixon. Enlisted as Teamster under Capt. John Combs, Capt. William Kale & Col. Hyer of Quarter- master, Dept. Headquarters at Trenton. Transported supplies, sick and wounded; stationed at Cranbury, Eatontown, Morristown, Springfield, Crosheys, Stony Brook Meeting House, White Marsh, PA., New Windsor, Red Bank, Bordentown, Juliustown, Jobstown, Black Horse, Penny Hill, South River Bridge, etc.
Served in two or three terms of militia service, exchanging with his brother Lewis (who died prior to 1834). In 1780, he served under Captains James Cox and Abraham Hendrickson.
In his pension application, he deposed that he was born at East Windsor, NJ, January 18, 1760, as recorded in his father's bible which is in the possession of his son John; always lived in Middlesex Co., NJ. No information was given as to date of marriage, names of wife or children nor was his own date of death given in the pension records.
On 12 Mar 1790, John Chamberlin was appointed guardian to his nephew Joseph Cox.
In 1797, John Chamberlin of Windsor, Middlesex Co., NJ. applied for a deed to replace the one that was lost, regarding purchase of property in 1756 by his father of 80 acres of land.
John Chamberlin made his will on 10 Jan 1826; proved 20 Aug 1835. He named son Abijah and son-in-law Vincent Dey; also daughters Nancy, Harriet, Rebecca, and Hannah. Farm on which son John now living to be sold. Named Hannah's children in right of their mother's share. Son Abijah and son-in-law Vincent Dey were named as Executors.
