Annabelle was the daughter of John Henry Adams, Sr. and Lorado Belle Tice Adams.

She married Charles Henry Greathouse, Jr. on May 28, 1948. In 1959 they moved to Jerome Prairie near Grants Pass, Oregon. Charles preceded her in death in 1983.

They had 6 children, Mary Louse; Melvin Charles; Marcia Ann; Martha Lynn; Laura Elaine; and Henry Lee.
