Elizabeth Joy Hunt 90, former resident of Dodson, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022, in Kennedale.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Dodson Cemetery with her family conducting her service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
She was born on August 28, 1932, in Crowell, to Cleo C. and Mary Elizabeth Clifton Joy. She married Vance Hunt on August 28, 1951, in Dallas. He preceded her in death in 2007.
Elizabeth graduated from high school in Dallas and from the University of North Texas with an associate degree. She stayed home and raised her boys and was a homemaker until she joined her husband in their business, Vance Hunt and Associates in 1984 when they moved to Dodson. She moved to Kennedale in 2018 to be with family.
Elizabeth was a faithful member of the Church of Christ.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and sisters.
Her survivors include 3 sons, 10 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Dodson Cemetery.
