∼OBITUARY OF AMASA ERICKSEN
MOUNT PLEASANT - Amasa ERICKSEN, 83, one of the first workers on the Mount Pleasant electric plant, died at the family home, 386 South 3rfd West, at noon Wednesday after a lingering illness.
Mr. ERICKSEN was born in Mount Pleasant October 10, 1865, a son of pioneer parents, Lars and Christina Hansen ERICKSEN and attended the early schools in this city.
He was married November 20, 1889, to Ethel COTTERELL. They have always made their home in this city.
He formerly was city street supervisor and served 21 years as operator at the city electric plant. He had been an active community and church worker and was a member of the South Ward seventies quorum, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Surviving are his widow, two sons and five daughters, Evan ERICKSEN of Los Angeles, California; Lorin ERICKSEN of Burbank, California; Mrs. Ralph LOENARD of Portland, Oregon; Mrs. L. Croft LARSEN, Provo; Mrs. Charles SNEEDEN, Baker, Oregon; Mrs. Jack ALMEE, American Fork, and Miss Marjorie ERICKSEN, Salt Lake; fourteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Mina E. PRITCHETT, Glendale, California; Mrs. O. C. ANDERSEN, Dallas Texas, and Mrs. Lena SORENSEN, Provo.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Mount Pleasant South Ward LDS Chapel by Leo Larzen, bishop.
Friends may call at the family home Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to time of Service.
