He was a retired 31 year employee of the Department of the Navy. Loving Father of Barbara Armstrong Walls, Louis J. Armstrong, Jr. (Delores), Patricia Armstrong Watkins (d:Ocie), and Brenda S. Williams (Johnny), Mary M. Armstrong, Lionel J. Armstrong (Karen), Carolyn J. Tanksley, Charles and Charlene Armstrong. Granddaughters Rosalind Johnson and Wanda Materra (Murphy) whom he reared with his children. He also leaves grandsons Cory and Justice Mickels whom he reared too...
One son Lawrence 'Chuckie' Armstrong and his wife Mildred E. DeLavallade Armstrong preceded him in death. Loving Grandfather of 31, Great Grandfather of 33 and Great-Great Grandfather of 15. Survived by many nieces and nephews and one brother Roscoe Allen of Altadena, CA and one goddaughter Rachelle Oliver Ray of Texas.
