Alvin C. Hoff, 87, Carmichael, Calif., formerly of Bismarck, died April 26, 2013, at his home. A memorial service will be held at his Carmichael residence on May 6.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; his sister, Karen; his children, Debbie, David, Denise, Deanna, Donald, Doug and Darrell; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildAlvin graduated from Bismarck High School in Bismarck, ND, where he played football and basketball.
Alvin enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps on December 2, 1943, at Fort Snelling in Minnesota. He was living in Burleigh County, North Dakota, had completed high school, and was single without dependents.
