LINDSEY ELLEN of Edmond, OK died April 14, 2006, at Mercy Hospital after a sudden illness. Born September 14, 1951, in Waterloo, Iowa to Charles W. Sharp and Elaine B. Sharp. Lindsey moved to Oklahoma in 1969 after graduating high school. She received her Psychology degree from UCO in 1993. She retired from the OK State Dept. of Corrections, General Counsel's office in 2004. Upon retiring, Lindsey was very passionate about dog rescue with Small Paws Rescue and raising, training and showing Portuguese Water Dogs. Lindsey is preceded in death by her mother. She is survived by her father and step-mother Charles and Vickie Sharp of Orion, IL. Brothers and sister, Michael Sharp of Des Moines, Iowa, Jeffrey Sharp of Edmond, OK, Lucy Trotter of Edmond, OK, Chip Sharp and his wife Sandy of Broomfield, CO. Nephews Jeffrey and Nicholas Trotter of Edmond and Zachary and Jacob Sharp of Broomfield, CO. and her beloved dogs, Sophie, Bailey and Belle. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Lindsey's name to the following organizations that she was passionate about: Small Paws Rescue, 3316 S. 72nd West Avenue, Tulsa, OK 74107 and PWDCA Remembrance Fund c/o Catherine Kalb, 3410 Vaux Street, Philadelphia, PA 19129. Services will be Saturday, April 22, 2006 - 11:00 am at All Souls' Episcopal Church, 63rd and Penn in OKC. Internment immediately following at Memorial Park Cemetery in Edmond.
