Luis was survived by his wife of 72 years, Lorraine Trujillo; brothers: Pete and Vicente Trujillo; sons: Eralio "E.J.", Armando, Orlando, Louis(wife Nanette), and Raoul Trujillo; daughters: Priscilla Cordova, Yolanda Trujillo and Maria (husband Pete Thorson); 18 grandchildren: Annette, Mark, Eric, Luis, Vincent, Orlando, Tim, Allison, Zades, Cassandra, Paul, Oceana, Jacob, Rebecca, Louie, Michelle husband Carlos, Melissa (husband Chris), Patricia (husband Carlos); 42 great-grandchildren: Jessica, Jennifer, Natalie, Myles, Simon, Victoria, Anthony, Gabriel, Nathaniel, Aaron, Seth, Isaac, Michael, Randi, Jassi, Nathaniel, Lorenzo, Alexis, David, LeeAnn, Yvonne, Tala, Leo, Alyssa, Isaiah, Jaylon, Alayjah, Zaydis, Ashley, Martin, Raeanna, Guillermo, Jaqulyn, Estevan, Natalia, Dino, Abriana, Aiyana, Josalyn, Christina, Carlitos, Anastacia; 3 great-great-grandchildren: Isabel, Devin, and Ellie; and many relatives and friends.
Luis was a man of great integrity, he was an exemplary model to his children. He taught them the most important values to live a rich life: Compassion, Empathy, Love and Respect. His ability to make everyone smile and his sharp wit were characteristic of his charm and love of knowledge. His calm, grace and dignity made him an amazing human being. He lived his life fully and joyfully with strong conviction and faith. Luis is dearly loved by his family and will be truly missed.
A service was on 9 Dec 2014 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial was on 10 Dec 2014 at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial followed in the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers: Carlos Sisneros, Chris Gipson and grandchildren: Luis, Timothy and Jacob Trujillo and great-grandchild Leo Trujillo. Honorary pallbearers were all his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family.
