"Mr. and Mrs. John Gurecky died in a truck-car accident about 8:20 a.m. Friday in Lott.

Both Mr. Gurecky, 76, and his wife, 65, died at the scene...

Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Gurecky were at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Ss Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Marak, with Rev. Harry Bilski officiating. Burial was in the Marak Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7:15 p.m. Saturday at Marek-Burns Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gurecky was born in Vienna, Austria. She was a member of St. Anne's Altar Society and the KJT Lodge. Mr. Gorecky was born in Burlington. He was a veteran of World War I, a member of the American Legion and the KJT Lodge.

They are survived by a son, T-Sgt. John, Jr. of Bergstrom AFB; a daughter, Mrs. Ann Morris of Corpus Christi; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Gurecky is also survived by two brothers, August Gorecky of Cameron and Joe Gorecky of Beeville; and two sisters, Mrs. Matilda Schneider of Newark, N. J., and Mrs. Mary Matula of Cameron.

Mrs. Gurecky is also survived by four brothers, Bob Motl and Jerry Motl, both of Temple, John Motl of Rockdale and Frank Motl of Fort Worth; and three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Kostrun of Marak, Miss Mary Motl of Waco and Mrs. Ann Paracinski of Belton..."
