Miss Minnie Marks, aged 74 years, died at the home of her sister Mrs. John Sluikhouse Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock, following a lingering illness of cancer. Besides her sister Mrs. Sluikhouse, she leaves 4 brothers to mourn her death.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 o'clock from the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Sluikhouse 4 miles south west of this city, and at 1:30 from the Second Reformed church. Interment will take place at the Oakwood Cemetery.

Miss Minnie Marks died at the home of her sister, Mrs John Slykhuis southwest of town at 7 p. m Tuesday July 18, 1916, aged 47 years, 8 months and 26 days. The cause of her death was cancer. Funeral services are appointed for today, Thursday, at 11 a. m , at the home and at 1:30 at the Second Reformed church. Interment will be at Oakwood cemetery.

Miss Minnie Marks, in den ouderdom van 47 jaren, 8 maanden en 26 dagen.

Om haar verlies te betreuren laat zij drie broeders en eene zuster na, benevens een aantal vrienden die haar waardeerde om haar edel, Christelijk karakter.

De begrafenis-dienst bad Donderdag, 20 Juli, 's namiddags half twee plaats in de 2de Ger. kerk onder leiding van Ds. B. F. Brinkman en de teraarde bestelling op het Oakwood Kerkhof.

In the house of her sister Mrs. John Slijkhuis and husband, 4 miles South of Pella, died on Tuesday, July 18, 1916, 7 o'clock in the evening,

Miss Minnie Marks,

in the age of 47 years, 8 months and 26 days.

To regret her loss, she leaves behind three brothers and one sister, as well as a number of friends who valued her for her noble, Christian character.

The funeral service prayed Thursday, July 20th, half two in the afternoon in the 2nd Ger. church led by Ds. B. F. Brinkman and the order in the Oakwood Cemetery.

It was immediately to the right of the Marks headstone with mother pointing to the right, so it seemed logical. But J. W.'s obit does not mention any wife nor can I find anything in the censuses.
