Emma Marie Maynard, 98, of Allen Road, Hampshire, died Friday in St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.
She was born April 24, 1885 in New Lebanon, Ill., the daughter of William and Elizabeth Engel Dumoulin.
She lived in the Hampshire area all her life. She married John Maynard in Hampshire April 6, 1910 and farmed with him. She was a member of the HOA (Help One Another) Club.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Doris) Huntoon of Elgin, Mrs. Bernadine "Bea" Walrack of Hampshire and Mrs. Gordon (Norma) Gray of Burlington; two sons, Edwin "Bub" Maynard and John Maynard Jr. both of Hampshire; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Amelia Klock of Hampshire.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 21, 1958; her parents; a son, Alvin, in infancy; two brothers, William Dumoulin and in infancy, Edward Dumoulin; and a sister, Anna Fischbach.
Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Hampshire, The Rev. William J. Clausen will officiate.
Burial will follow in Hampshire Center Cememtery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. today n the Fredrick Funeral Home, Hampshire. Rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. and Christian wake services will be at 8 p.m.
Masses or memorials in her name would be appreciated by the fanily.
