OBITUARY :
MRS. EMILY C. (JONES) SHULTZ, 85, of 13453 Meadowview Ave., Waynesboro, PA, died Monday evening, November 10, 2014 in her home.
Born April 1, 1929 in Scotland, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Emily (Strine) Jones.
Mrs. Shultz graduated from Quincy High School with the class of 1947.
She and her husband of over 66 years, Delbert Shultz, were married on August 8, 1948 in Hagerstown. They moved to their present residence in 1968.
In her early life, Mrs. Shultz worked as an office clerk at Frick Company, Letterkenny Army Depot, and Hess Manufacturing. However, she was a homemaker most of her life.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Fairview Ward, Waynesboro and enjoyed baseball, reading, crocheting, word find puzzles, cooking, and caring for her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Pamela Helfrick and her husband, Darl of Shady Grove, PA, Deborah Helfrick and her husband, Ray of Waynesboro and Tanya Burns of Waynesboro; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ann Sheffler and Ruth Zody, both of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Rock; and two brothers, Harold Jones and Charles Jones, Jr.
Services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Friday, November 14, 2014 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Burial will follow in Quincy Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday evening, in the funeral home.
