Mrs. E. Catherine Jones, 64, wife of Charles S. Jones, Sr , Waynesboro R D 1, died at 7:10 p m Saturday at the Waynesboro Hospital. She had been in failing health for two years, and was last admitted to the hospital June 19. Mrs. Jones was born in Chambersburg, Jan, 3, 1905, daughter of the late Jacob and Ada Hamilton Strine. Her early life was spent at Scotland. Following their marriage, she and Mr. Jones made their home in Waynesboro for eight years before moving to the Route 1 residence in 1937. In addition to her husband, she is survived by these children, Harold F. Jones, Waynesboro, Mrs. Deibert Shultz, Waynesboro, R D 3, Charles Jones, Jr , Fayetteville R D 2., Mrs. Robert Rock, Mont Alto, |Mrs Richard Sheffler, Waynesboro, R D 4, and Mrs. Howard Zody, Quincy. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Stumbaugh, and a brother, Harold Strine, both of Scotland.
The funeral will be heldTuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Grove Funeral Home, in charge of the Rev. John L. Rauch. Burial will be made in Mt Zion Cemetery.
