last Friday. He was born in Waynesboro, April 18, 1904, son of the late Fred and Fannie (Stoner)
Jones. His early life was lived in the Fayetteville area, and prior to moving to the present residence, he had made his home in Quincy for a number of years.
For over 35 years, he was employed as an engineer at the Waynesboro Ice & Cold Storage
Co., and prior to his retirement in 1969, he last worked as a custodian at the Waynesboro High School.
He was a member of the Eagles Club Inc. and the ATH&L Fire Co. In addition to his wife, Mrs.
Elizabeth A. Geesaman Jones, he is survived by these children of his first marriage to
the late Mrs. Catherine (Strine) Jones, Harold F. Jones and Mrs. Howard Zody, both of Wayne Heights, Mrs. Delbert Shultz, Long Meadow Estates, Charles S. Jones, Jr., Fayetteville, RR 2., Mrs. Robert Rock. Mont Alto and Mrs. Richard Sheffler, Grandview Drive. Also surviving are 14
grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and these brothers and sisters, Mervil Jones and George Jones, both of Chambersburg, Mrs. Frank Barncord, Starke, Fla. and Mrs. Blocker, Lena, Ill.
Services will be held Saturday at 10. a m. in the Grove
Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Douglas Compton. Burial will be in Mont Zion Cemetery.
