Nicholas Williamson was born on September 17, 1811 in New Brunswick, Middlesex County, New Jersey. His parents were Douw Ditmars Williamson Sr.and Mary Ann Abeel. Nicholas married Mary Rebecca Burlock (daughter of David Burlock and Agnes Marie Codwise) on June 05, 1838 in New York City, New York. They had eight children named Agnes M., David Abeel, Mariana (Mrs. William Henry Blood Jr.), Nicholas, Agnes Burlock (Mrs. David A. Storer), Douw Ditmars, George Norman, and Martha Codwise (Mrs. Edward Anderson Reiley). Nicholas founded a company called the Novelty Rubber Company. It made rubber goods. In 1857, Nicholas's first wife died. He then married Augusta M. Storer (daughter of William Storer and Delia Ann Moultrop of West Hartford, Connecticut) . Nicholas and Augusta had no children. He died on November 15, 1862 in New Brunswick. The cause of death was Typhoid Fever.
