Austin B. Browder, 44, former Columbian, was killed Sunday when he fell from a mountain cliff near Covington, Cal.
Funeral plans are imcomplete. The body will be brought to McCormick Funeral Home.
Mr. Browder was born in Columbia and spent his life in and around here until two years ago when he moved to Covington to enter the roofing business.
He was a member of Main Street Methodist Church and the American Legion, being a World War II veteran.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. June Brown Lee Browder; his mother, Mrs. S. E. Browder Carman, Columbia, and two brothers, Harry and Earl Browder, Columbia.
The family will be at 5307 Colonial Drive.
