Born in Richland County, he was a son of the late Henry and Sara E. Hair Browder. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and a retired employee of the C. W. Haynes Co.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lottie Sandel Browder; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Brown of Columbia; a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Services will be 2 p.m. today in Talbert-Shives Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. W. Robert Borom and the Rev. Harold P. Lewis. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
