Maxine Mayfield Howell, 78, passed away Monday, November 11, 1996 in Bountiful, Utah.

She was born Nov. 26, 1917 in Farmington, Utah, a daughter of Leo Taylor and Louise Ware Mayfield. She married Frank M. Howell on Feb. 20, 1937 in Centerville, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was reared and educated in Farmington and was a life long resident of that city.

Maxine graduated from Davis High School. She was a member of the Farmington 13th LDS Ward and had served in the Relief Society, and was a Sunday School teacher. Maxine had worked at Lagoon Amusement Park for 30 years, in numerous callings.

She is survived by her husband, Farmington; daughter, Helen and husband, Steve Strong, Seattle, Wash.; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; also three brothers, Darrell W. (Bingo) Mayfield, Tampa, Florida; John W. (Doris) Mayfield, Bountiful; and James D. (Gladys) Mayfield, Kaysville; preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Lynn and Richard Howell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 1996 at Farmington LDS Rock Chapel, 272 North Main. Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main and Fri. from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Interment: Farmington City Cemetery.
