In 1860 they were listed in Nodaway County, Missouri with Benjamin, age 14; Abel, age 11; Mary, age 8; Rachel, age 6; Martisha, age 4; and Martin, 10 months. Jesse Stingley remarried a widow and was listed on the 1870 Franklin County, Kansas census, which also lists Octavia Stingley, age 8. There is a male Jesse, age 11, who is probably the same son as Martin in 1860.
