Born Oct. 10, 1920, in Roanoke to William and Katherine Steffen Fehr, he married Marjorie A. Hoerr on Aug. 25, 1946, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Wade R. Fehr of Peoria, Philipp Fehr of Morton and Michael (and Tina) Fehr of Peoria; two daughters, Kathleen Brewer of Peoria and Nanette David of Peoria; one brother, Maynard (and Nancy) Fehr of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Wilma Hoerr of Peoria and Lillian Getz of Morton; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
He was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran. He was a fighter pilot and achieved the rank of first lieutenant.
He was co-owner of P.J. Hoerr Inc.
He was past president of Parc and past president of Illinois Association for Retarded Citizens.
He was a member of Sheridan Road Apostolic Christian Church, where services will be at 10 a.m. Friday. Church ministers will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wilton Mortuary. Additional visitation will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at his church. Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Edwards.
Memorials may be made to Timberidge Apostolic Christian Home for the Handicapped, Apostolic Christian Skylines or Parc.
