Peder was the third, and last child of Karoline Pedersdtr Lokken and Sigvart Erikson, born in NOrway. The family later went by Caroline and Severt Erickson.

Karoline was my g.g.grandmother, Ingeborg's next younger sibling. Both sisters had been working a guest houses in Rendalen, Hedmark Norway when the railroad was being built there. Ingeborg and husband, Bardo Eidem and first two children emigrated out of Norway, to Dodge County, MN in 1878. Ingeborg sent a letter to Karoline that her husband would find his profession in great demand - shoemaker. Karoline and Sigvart immigrated just 3 years after Ingeborg.

Peder was confirmed at South Zumbro Lutheran Church, a few minutes SW of Rochester, Minnesota, on June 23, 1895. He was one of eleven confirmands. His name is spelled Peder Erikson, his parents' names spelled Sigvart & Karoline Erikson -- the Norwegian spelling.

Peder married Emma Blair Jamieson, in 1907; and they moved to Devils Lake, ND, where he was a pastor. They moved to Minot, ND where Peder was called, next. Their son, Donald was born there. Emma died during the Pandemic of that decade. She was buried at Kasson, MN where they were married. in the Erickson family plots.

Peder remarried to Carrie May Van Gilder, and they moved west, living in Seattle as well as in Oregon. Peder died at the age of 72; and Carrie is buried with him, having outlived him by just a few years.
