Opal Leona Shahan, 84, formerly of the Belpre area, died February 3, 2008, at the Marietta Center.
She was born 23 February 1923 in Wood County, a daughter of the late Wade D. Lowther and Zina E. Wilkinson Lowther.
Surviving are three sons, Roger Lee Shahan, Rodney Gale Shahan and Dennis Edward Shahan, all of Belpre; sister, Myrtle Milburn of Parkersburg; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Pearly E. Shahan; two brothers; a sister and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with Pastor Kent Lowther officiating. Interment will follow at Rockland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
