Adrienne B. McCain, 84, of Camden, died at 8:50 a.m. Aug. 30, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi.
Born Sept. 15, 1916, in Rock Creek Township, she was the daughter of Herman C. and Daisy Dean Berkshire Mullin. On Oct. 5, 1939, in St. Peters Lutheran Church, Camden, she was married to Dean W.McCain, who died April 3,1969.
Mrs. McCain was a 1934 graduate of Rockfield High School and a 1937 graduate of the registered nursing program at Indianapolis City Hospital.
She worked as a registered nurse for Dr. C.L. Wise of Camden, retiring in 1975. Mrs. McCain was a lifetime member of St. Peters Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader.
Surviving are one daughter, Marilyn Nance of Flora; two sons, Donald D. McCain of Camden and Joe W. McCain of Greenfield; three sisters, Geraldine Rice of Delphi, Nancy Mullin of Monticello, and Martha Spencer of Anderson; and four grandchildren. Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Services were Sunday at St. Peters Lutheran Church with the Rev. Richard Reciter officiating. Burial was in Camden Cemetery, Camden. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peters Lutheran Church. Cree Funeral Home, Camden, was in charge of arrangements.
