Mrs. Thelma Rainer
Mrs. Thelma G. Rainer, 71, of Minden passed away May 23 in the Meadowview Nursing Home.
Services were held Monday, May 25 at 2 p.m. in the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jimmy Tharpe officiating, assisted by Rev. John Duke. Burial followed in the Sibley Cemetery.
Mrs. Rainer had lived in Minden for the past four years and was a former resident of Sibley. She was a member of the Sibley Missionary Baptist Church and was a retired nurse from Meadowview Nursing Home.
Survivors include her son, Byron L. Rainer of Santa Monica, Calif.; four daughters, Barbara Tharpe of Sibley, Elaine Gaines of Shreveport, Gloria Stewart of Mansfield and Sharon Burchfield of Minden; a sister, Ivey Brooks of Bossier City; 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
