ALFALFA- Mrs. Nettie B. Goodwin was born February 5, 1875, died May 14, 1918, aged 43 years, 3 months and 9 days. She was converted to God in 1890, and lived a devoted Christian life until death. She was married to O.B. Goodwin October 28, 1894. To this union nine children were born, four girls and five boys, two of whom have passed away.

Her sudden death was indeed a great shock to all. Sister Goodwin was a good and loyal woman, a true wife and loving mother. Her children will ever be under the spell of her life of love, and even tho her soft, motherly voice is heard no more, the influence of mother will abide.

In the presence of an immense concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives the funeral service was held in the Baptist church Wednesday afternoon by Rev. M.M.Monk. Interment was made tin the Alfalfa cemetery.

Weep not that her toiled are over; Weep not that her race is run;
God grant we may rest as calmly, When our work, like hers, is done.
'Till then we yield with gladness, Our mother to Him to keep,
And rejoice in the sweet assurance, He giveth his loved one sleep.
