Henry E. Dunbar, age 65, of Shady Spring, WV, passed away at the Charleston Area Medical Center General Division on Friday, October 3, 2014.

Born on June 6, 1949, in Ohio, he was the son of the late Ralph C. Dunbar and Ora Jane Stover Dunbar.

Mr. Dunbar was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He was a member of the Spoken Word Tabernacle at Beaver, and had spent most of his life in the Clear Creek area.

Mr. Dunbar had made his home in Shady Spring for nearly 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and Charles Dunbar.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Brenda Matherly Dunbar; Two children, Stacy Dunbar of Rupert, and Donny Dunbar of Nashville, TN. Seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, His siblings, Robert Dunbar of Clear Creek, Lewis Dunbar of Glen Daniel, Farris Stover of Blue Jay, Jane Ann Hodge of Clear Creek, Connie Graley, Shirley Bryant of Clear Creek, Dwight Dunbar of Ohio, Barb Maggart of Piney View, Buford Dunbar of Clear Creek, and Nora Mae Owens of Louisiana.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Monday, October 6, 2014, at 3 p.m. with Pastor Ivan England and Pastor Ronnie Lilly officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
