BROWNING -- Berniece Briney, 83, of rural Browning died at 11:40 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 1993, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in
Rushville.
Born Nov. 3, 1909, in Bluff City to Benjamine and Mary Dixon Sackman, she married Earl Briney on Feb. 4, 1933, in Rushville. He died Feb. 4, 1990. One grandson, two sisters and one brother also preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Earl Dennis of Bluff City; one sister, Verna Maxwell of Rushville; three brothers, Raymond Sackman of Havana, Bennie Sackman of Bluff City and L.O. Sackman of Peoria; and one granddaughter.
She was a member of the Culbertson Hospital Auxiliary.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Collis Trone will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the memorial home. Burial will be in Bluff City Cemetery .
Memorials may be made to the Hickory -Kerton Township Fire Department or Bluff City Cemetery .
