Graham was born at Fells , Saskatchewan to Estella M. Grant and William John Stephens. Edna (Reed) Stephens was his step mother beginning in the 1920s.


Graham served in the Canadian Postal Corps , during World War 2. He married Ruby Thompson in January, 1946 , and they moved to Red Deer in 1947.


He worked for N.W.U , in Red Deer, retiring after 32 years, in 1985.


He was active in the Lions, and Optimist Clubs in earlier years and coached softball, speedskating, and bowling for the Special Olympics for several years.


He was a man of great kindness, compassion and loved young people. He was very special to all his children, and grandchildren.


He was predeceased by his father William Stephens, in 1983, his mother Bertha Edna Stephens in 1996, and his first wife Ruby Irene Stephens in 1973.


Graham has three daughters, and has grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held from the Memorial Presbyterian Church, Sylvan Lake, on Thursday, June 17, 1993 at 11:00 A.M.with the Rev.John Yoos officiating. ( Interment will follow at the Alto Reste Memorial Gardens, Red Deer.

Graham married Margaret " Marg" Sylvia Swainson nee Gronnestad at Drumheller, Alberta on 14 February 1975 at the United Church. Marg was born at Sylvan Lake, Alberta. She had previously been married to Roy Swainson. She was a Teacher.

Marg died in Red Deer on March 12, 2018 at the Michener Centre. It is unknown as to her burial place.
