JONESVILLE, Va. — Verna Ann Hines, 75, of Jonesville, Va., passed away on Monday (Sept. 29, 2014) at Lee Health and Rehabilitation Center.

A native of Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Paris and Lola Reece Hines. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six sisters, Gladys Orr, Alice Walters, Beulah True, Eula Walters, Nina Pierce and Lucille Burgan; and two brothers, Jack Hines and Ray Hines.

She was a member of Madison Heights First Baptist Church in Madison Heights, Va.

Verna is survived by two sons, Dr. Tom Livesay and his daughters, Alexa, Alayna, and Alyssa Livesay of Harrogate, Tenn. and Lyndon B. Livesay and his sons Brock and Taylor Livesay and his fiancée Amanda, and her children, Devin and Ashton Goins of Pennington Gap, Va.; one brother, Robert P. Hines Jr. of Shawnee, Kan.; three sisters, Eleanor Corbin of Naples, Fla., Jean Scott of Zenia, Ohio and Vivian Garrett of Louisville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Robinette Funeral Home in Jonesville.

The funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Rusty Fitzpatrick officiating.

The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Lee Memorial Gardens, Woodway, Va.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Family Life Center at First Baptist Church of Jonesville, P.O. Box 328, Jonesville, Va. 24263.
