DEATH OF DAVIS CARPENTER
Davis Carpenter, 88, died yesterday afternoon at the home of his son, Charles E Carpenter, of 96 East street, the Falls. He was born in Surry, N.H., the oldest son of Willard and Serpeta Carpenter. Mr Carpenter leaves one son, three granddaughters, two grandsons, two great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters. The funeral will be held at the home this afternoon at 4.30 Rev. W. C. Townsend of Springfield will officiate. The body will be taken to Winchester, N.H. to-morrow morning in charge of the W. H. Graham corporation of Springfield. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery there.
