Terry Akers, 46, of 1749 N. Wells Street, Chicago, IL., died Saturday, May 23, 1992 at 7:45 p.m. in the Rush Presbyterian Medical Center in Chicago. He had been a resident of Chicago for 20 years and had been in ill health for 2 years.

He was born July 25, 1946 in Bowen to Frank and Ethyl Belknap Akers. He never married. He worked as a bookkeeper and an interior designer. He was a graduate of Bowen High School and design school in Florida. He was also an army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by three brothers, Frank Jr. of West Point, Bill of Plymouth and Donald of Hamilton; three sisters, Mrs. Mike "Mary" Cludray of Plymouth, Mrs. Don "Kay" Webster of Rushville and Mrs. Garry "Janet" Wear of Loraine; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The body will be cremated.

A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday in Bowen Cemetery by the Rev. Terry Rankin.

There will be no visitation but friends are invited to the services.

Memorials may be made to Friends for Kidney at Blessing Hospital.

The Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta is handling arrangements.
