Marguerite was an Air Force wife and homemaker. She had also taught school and worked for the State of Kansas. While her husband was in the Air Force they had lived in California, Okinawa, Montana, Spain and Colorado.
She was a member of the Evangel United Methodist Church in Holton and a former member of the Art and Home Club in Holton. She married Billie Dean Hale on March 3, 1951 at Newton. He died July 28, 2006.
Marguerite was also preceded in death by one sister, Ellen Fahey Farmer, and one brother, J. Neil Morrissey.
Survivors include a daughter, Lana Diane Blandin and husband Larry, Leavenworth, a sister, Grace Bay, Topeka, five grandchildren, Haley Bunselmeyer, Polly Woollum, William Blandin, Kate Blandin, and Kelly Blandin, and eight great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Joshua, and Josiah Bunselmeyer, Landin, Jamison, and William Woollum, and Ellie and Tucker Blandin.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 23rd at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Holton. Private burial will be in the Leavenworth National Cemetery. Marguerite will lie in state at the funeral home where family and friends will meet from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Memorials are suggested to the Evangel United Methodist Church or Gentiva Hospice, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 1034, 66436.
