Services will be held in Jacques' chapel Tuesday at 2:45 p.m. for Mrs. John (Jean) Jess, 65, who died Saturday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. James Jess, 1608 16th Ave. W. Born in Maybole, Scotland, Mrs. Jess had lived in Calgary for 38 years. She was a member of South Calgary United church, St. Andrew-Caledonian Society, and the ladies' auxiliary of the United Scottish Games; Association. Her husband, John, died in Calgary Oct. 24, 1943. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. James Jess, Calgary, and Mrs. Alex. Emslie, Brooks; one son, James, Calgary; two sisters, Barbara Houston and Marion Houston, Calgary; two brothers, William, Calgary, and Thomas, Scotland; four grandchildren.
