Miss Elizabeth Eulberg died at the J D. Schmidt home in Alton last Saturday morning April 2, 1910 from cancer. Deceased was born in Springbrook Iowa October 12, 1861 and came to Alton in 1883 her folks following a few years later. She was a child of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Eulberg of whom the former still lives in Alton—the mother having been dead for many years.

As a young woman Miss Eulberg assisted the J. D. Schmidt family in one of Alton's pioneer hotels and after their retirement from the business made her home with them and followed the occupation of seamstress. She was a full sister to Karl Eulberg of Dell Rapids South Dakota, Mrs. Joseph Sachnee of Alton, Mrs. Herman Jost of Presho South Dakota, Mrs. Henry Detterman of Early Iowa. Her father having married a second time she was a half sister to Chris and Will Eulberg of Medford Oklahoma, Peter Eulberg of St, Paul, Adam Eulberg of Brawley California, John and Miss Mary Eulberg of Portland Oregon, Joe and Henry and Herman Eulberg of Alton.

The funeral was held from her father’s home and St. Mary's Church Monday and interment was made in St. Mary's cemetery.
