Carol Birkenfeld was a daughter of Rosel and Lelia Hyde, born on June 17, 1919 in Kaysville. She married Delmar E. Birkenfeld on September 17, 1938. Carol was an active member in the LDS Church, and was a very talented and avid painter.
Surviving are her children, Teddy (Lynn) Foxley, Layton; Gene (Diane) Birkenfeld, Bountiful; Carol Ann (Stan J) Adams, Layton; Del (Ramona) Birkenfeld, West Jordan; brother, R. Zena (Enid) Hyde, Lake San Marcus, Calif.; sister, Elaine (George) Cuthbert, Midvale; sister-in-law, Serena Hyde-Kaysville; and seven beautiful grandchildren and 11 beautiful great-grandchildren and very special friends, Kathy and Val Adams, Mtn. Green; Carol was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Jenny Lynn, two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 10, 1997 at the Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main, where friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45. Interment in Kaysville City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in memory of Carol be made to the McLeran Rescue Fund, c/o Lakeview Animal Hospital, 1975 South Orchard Drive, Bountiful, Utah 84010. Attn: Debbie.
