Mrs. Dick (Jeanette D. Synhorst) Ver Heul, 77, 307 Washington Street, died May 20, 1975, at the Pella Community Nursing Home where she had been cared for during the past five weeks.

She was born March 15, 1898, near Pella, the daughter of Abraham and Jane (Toom) Synhorst. She attended the Amsterdam rural school and graduated from Pella Public High School in 1917.

She married Dick Ver Heul on September 22, 1926, at Oskaloosa and they had six children. Mrs. Ver Heul had been living at 307 Washington Street since the time of her marriage and was a faithful homemaker all these years.

She is survived by her husband, Dick, six children: Jean A., Harvey; Mary Ann, at home; Mrs. Wallace (Joyce D.) Van Wyk, Pella; Dick H., Cedar Falls; Mrs. Dennis (Arvena R.) Van Wyk, Pella; and Aberlene L., Ocean Springs, Mississippi; 13 grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ben (Arvena) Valster, Pella.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter Lora Ruth, daughter of Joyce and Wallace Van Wyk; three sisters, Mrs. Jacob (Nell) Bogaard, Mrs. Fred (Elizabeth) t'Lam, and one sister who died during infancy; and two brothers - Dick Synhorst and John Synhorst.

She confessed her faith in the Amsterdam community where she also taught Sunday School.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, May 23 at the Van Dyk-Duven Chapel in Pella with Rev. Wayne M. Hall officiating. Casketbearers were grandsons Daniel Ver Heul, Willis Van Wyk, Jeffrey Ver Heul, Richard Ver Heul, Dennis Van Wyk, and Steven Van Wyk. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery.
