Served in Cherokee War, 1760 & 1761, as private under Col. John Chevillette.

Served In Revolutionary War in Col. Waters' Regiment as private from the fall of Charleston to Anderson's return.

1st wife believed to be Mary Hannah Inman, 1771-1837. Also believed they had a son they names Levi Francis Gordon b. 1787.

Some kin have stated Ben died 1808 in while serving the in Rev. War under General Bernardo de Galvez who's forces captured British Pensacola, Mobile & Baton Rouge.
