"APPLECREEK--James ''Jim''Odell Taylor, 86, of Applecreek, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Shady Lawn Nursing Home under the care of Hospice. He was born May 10, 1924 in Fulton, Kentucky to the late Ollie and Fern (Holmes) Taylor. Jim was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He worked at Goodyear Aerospace for 35 years, retiring in 1986 and was a member of the American Legion #147 of Applecreek. Preceded in death by his brother, Robert (Bob) Taylor, Jim is survived by his wife of whom he married on November 29, 1974, Sandra; children... 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Taylor; and many other family members and friends. Funeral service will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier FuneralHome, 566 W. Park Ave., Barberton 44203, with his brother, Jack Taylor officiating. Burial at East Liberty Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Road,Wooster,Ohio 44691."
