Married Margaret J. Taylor on December 22, 1847 in Morgan County; they had eight children.
Survived by his wife, and the following children: Mrs. Mary E. Folckemer of Camp Point; Mrs. H. F. Strickling of Denver; William D. Clark of Peoria; Mrs. W. R. Scott of Holdenville, I.T.?; Mrs. W. G. Wolfe of Jacksonville; Henrietta Clark of Jacksonville; and John F. Clark of Jacksonville.
Preceded in death by a son: George W. Clark, who died at the age of two.
At one time, George Clark was a farmer. He was elected Justice of the Peace, served as deputy sheriff for six years, served one term as Circuit Clerk.
Residence: 328 West Court Street.
