Elizabeth crossed the Plains with her son, Alfred, in the Claudius Spencer's Wagon Train leaving from Kanesville, Missouri. The journey lasted 113 days. Elizabeth had her sixtieth birthday in Wyoming three weeks before they entered the Salt Lake Valley. The family settled in Kaysville, Utah.
In the early spring of 1860, many Saints were called to relocate and colonize Idaho, Alfred and George her sons, were among those called.
Elizabeth passed away in Farmington, Utah.
