Zoolah Joy Goan, 79, of Chattanooga, took the Lord’s hand on Sunday, September 7, 2014, in a local hospital. She was so looking forward to meeting Jesus face to face. Joy was a longtime member of First Nazarene Church. During her life, Joy has faced many physical challenges and has remained faithful and joyful to the Lord. Joy was an inspiration to many friends.

Survivors include her sister, Grace Bedwell Fite of Red Bank; nephews: William F. (Lisa) Bedwell Jr. of Cape Canaveral, FL, Douglas (Carmen) Bedwell of Sausalito, CA and Jack Smith of Canton, GA; nieces: Linda (Remi) Engels of Tullahoma, TN, Linn Kirby of Glendale, AZ, Mary Jane Duning of Harrison, TN, Nellie May Hicks of Chattanooga and Regina Ledford of Chattanooga; her beloved cockatiel, Koko.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Reverend John Andrus and Reverend Eric Duble officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. Visitation is 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 Tuesday and 12:00-1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace, 877-3524.
