William Scott, one of the old residents of the town of Dellona, died at his home in that town April 30th, after an illness of some length. Mr. Scott was well known in this city, having been one of the directors of the Kilbourn Co-operative Exchange since its organization.
William Scott was born in Hartford, Conn., July 10, 1856, and was consequently 77 years, 9 months and 20 days old at the time of his death.
When a small boy he came to Wisconsin with his parents, the family settling near Baraboo. At the age of 18 he and his parents took up their residence in the town of Dellona, and he has since lived in that town.
March 19th, 1885, he was united in marriage to Ella J. Eakins. To this union five children were born, namely: Mabel of North Freedom, Wilbur, Alta and Gaile of Beloit, and Sydney, who preceded his father in death 32 years ago.
