Wreathel was born to Mary J. Peck and Dell Knapp. She was the fourth of six children. She taught school in Ogle Flats, NM. Wreathel married Henry N. Hendrix Nov. 22 1919. To this union five children were born. Henry and Wreathel divorced in the 40's.
