Mrs. Anna Cook, 66-year-old widow of 6022 West B Street, collapsed and died suddenly of a heart attack at her home at 10:15 o'clock this morning. Mrs. Cook, who had been under the care of a physician, was found unconscious by her sister, Mrs. Rose Lawton who resides next door at 6024 West B Street. She was pronounced dead a few minutes later by a physician who was summoned to the home.

Mrs. Cook was born in Belleville on October 16, 1884, a daughter of the late Anton and Anna Rettle, nee Hesel and married Frank Cook in Belleville May 10, 1902 (or 1903). Her husband died on July 26, 1940.

Surviving are two sons:

Arthur Cook, 1819 West A St
Edwin Cook, at home

... a brother and a sister:
Mrs. Lawton
Joseph Rettle, former City Treasurer, 1416 Lebanon Ave

... and two grandchildren (private). A son, Francis and two children who died in infancy and four brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral at 2 p.m. Thursday from Pete Gaerdner Funeral Home to Walnut Hill Cemetery.
