Mr. Rettle was born in Belleville June 22, 1880, the son of Anton and Anna Rettle.
He was unmarried and is survived by two sisters and two brothers;

He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America, Local No. 304, and a Good Samaritan. The funeral will be held from the residence Monday at 2 p.m. Interment will be made at Walnut Hill cemetery.
