Funeral services for Joseph Rettle, a real estate appraiser and former city treasurer of Belleville, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Gaerdner undertaking establishment, Belleville, Ill., with burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Rettle, who was 81 years old and served as city treasurer from 1933 to 1935, died of a heart attack yesterday at his home at 1416 Lebanon avenue, Belleville. He had worked as a real estate appraiser since 1919 and had operated a tavern in Belleville for 17 years before the advent of prohibition.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna Rettle of the Lebanon avenue address, and two sons:
