NILES - Dawson Lee Eliason, 12, entered to Heaven on August 31, 2014, in Niles, MI. He was born November 28, 2001, in South Bend, IN, to Carl and Neilly (Smith) Eliason. He leaves behind his father and mother, Carl & Neilly Eliason of Niles; brothers, David and Dyllan Eliason of Niles; grandparents, Connie and Gary Smith of Niles, Jean Miles of Buchanan, MI, and Linda Eliason of New Zealand; great-grandparents, Clyde and Geraldine Weaver of Buchanan; aunts and uncles, Shakira and James Westgate of Niles, Levi Smith of Niles, Steve and Lisa Eliason of Buchanan, and Vickie and Peter Hartz of Niles; cousins, Zane and Kenzie Westgate and Leilani Eliason.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jessie Miles of Buchanan, and his grandfather, David Eliason of New Zealand; also his great-uncle, Sam Smith of Niles; great-grandfather, Hubert Smith of Buchanan. He had a great many cousins and friends. A few that were more than family or friends they were his brothers they are as follows: Ethan, Jonathan, Reese, Kaleb and Zane.

He lived his life taking advantage of all that the world had to offer and never lived in the past. He loved completely and fully and never judged. Dawson was always the leader of the pack, quick with a smile, and fast to give you a laugh. He will be forever missed, always remembered, and eternally in our hearts.

Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, September 6, at 10 am at the Faith United Methodist Church, 728 N. Detroit St., Buchanan. Pastor David Mitchell of Faith Victory Fellowship will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Visitation will be Friday, September 5, from 5-8 at the Swem Chapel, Buchanan.

The family is requesting donations be made to the Buchanan Middle School Booster club at 610 W 4th St. in Buchanan, MI; or to the City of Niles - Parks and Recreation Department, C/O Niles Skate Park at 333 North 2nd St., Niles, MI. Friends may visit the online guestbook at www.swemchapel.com.
