Born in Bloomington, Indiana, May 20, 1924, Mrs. Deckard was the daughter of James and Nellie Pearl Bond Woods.
She married Herman Deckard September 4, 1943.
Survivors include her husband, of 70 years, Herman Deckard; children, Nancy Sage of Columbus, John (Darlene) Deckard of Columbus, Mike (Cynthia) Deckard of Hope and Brian (Robin) Deckard of Hope; grandchildren, Gregory (Lindsay) Sage, Candace (Brian) Doll, Evan (Anne) Deckard, Michelle Perkinson, Jessica (Ben) Brown, Laural (Michael) French, Samantha (Matt) Krueger and Levi (Allison) Deckard; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lester and Robert Woods; and a grandson, Matthew Deckard.
